Dhwani Foundation

Sahayog

Empowering social workers and strengthening grassroots NGOs through financial security and staff support.

Introduction

Sahayog is Dhwani Foundation’s employee support and revolving fund initiative created for grassroots NGO staff. Built in response to the financial challenges faced by grassroots social workers, Sahayog helps create structured access to emergency financial support, interest-free loans, and savings-based security systems for NGO employees. Started in 2022, along with the long-standing support of our Partner ‘Caring Friends’ this initiative of Dhwani recognises that many grassroots NGO staff continue to work in difficult conditions with limited financial stability, low salaries, and little access to formal credit systems. Financial emergencies often affect staff morale, retention, and continuity within organisations. Sahayog addresses this through a collaborative revolving fund model involving donors, NGOs, and employees themselves — helping organisations support staff wellbeing while building greater continuity and stability within teams.
